Risk Quantification Lead – LNG EPC Project (France)

We are seeking an experienced Risk Quantification Lead to join a major LNG EPC project. This is a key role within the HSE Design (HSED) team, focused on delivering high-quality risk quantification engineering for a large-scale energy infrastructure development.

Location: France for a few months, then working remotely (EU candidate required) 
Language: English
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Long-term contract

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all HSE Design Risk Quantification activities.
• Develop and review deliverables including QRA, RAM studies, and consequence modelling.
• Supervise and technically check the work of assigned engineers.
• Liaise with internal project teams, partners, and clients across multiple disciplines.
• Respond to technical queries and COMPANY comments.
• Ensure project compliance with internal procedures, client specifications, and international standards.
• Report progress, interface with risk department leadership, and represent the Risk Quantification team in meetings.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• MSc in Loss Prevention Engineering or equivalent.
• 10 years’ experience in Risk Quantification/Loss Prevention in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or energy sectors.
• Proven expertise in:
  
  • PHAST (advanced user)
  • CFD FLACS exposure
  • Probabilistic studies: Fire/Explosion Risk Analysis, QRA, EERA
  • RAM study management
• Familiarity with TOTAL Energies GS SAF standards.
• Strong knowledge of LNG technologies and international codes & standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and planning skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and technical documentation tools.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.
