Join ABB France within the Process Automation - Process Industries division, where we support the paper, metals, cement, and food industries in their digital and sustainable transformation.

Your Role: Own the Challenge
We are looking for an Application Engineer to contribute to the execution of automation and drive system projects. You will be part of a dynamic project team, responsible for delivering high-performance technical solutions on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Analyze technical specifications and contribute to defining design standards and deliverables.
• Conduct technical studies, define solutions, draft purchase specifications, and identify suitable technologies.
• Program, test, and validate automation systems, control loops, and human-machine interfaces.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders, provide technical support, and participate in on-site commissioning.

What it takes to Run what runs the world
• Master's degree in Industrial IT, Automation, or Control Engineering, or a technical degree (Bac+3) in CIRA or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial automation, ideally with ABB products.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in project execution, programming, and commissioning of automation systems, as well as IT technologies: networks, domains, cybersecurity, and programming languages (IEC61131, Visual Basic).
• Willingness to travel ~40%, mostly within France and occasionally abroad.
• Collaborative, solution-oriented mindset. Good command of spoken and written English.

Additional Information
Salary: €45,000 - €55,000 gross annually + performance bonus

Work model: Hybrid (LinkedIn #hybrid)
