EngineeringWe have a current opportunity for a Maintenance Support Instruments & Controls Engineer on a contract basis. The position will be based in Doha. For further information about this position please apply.
Contract Duration : 2 years
To provide technical/ engineering supports to Maintenance, Operations and Supply departments in order to carry out improvement of reliability, costs, efficiency, optimization of maintenance execution, failure and troubleshooting investigations.
Required Qualification and Experience:
Bachelor in Engineering (Instrumentation & Control / Electronics ) from a recognized university with minimum 10 years of experience in similar responsibility in oil and gas or petrochemical environment related to Engineering, Plant construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and startup of the plants.
Key Job Accountabilities:
Review capital spares status and provides recommendations for preservation and upkeep
Reviews and recommends max / min spare parts level for non-moving, obsolete, surplus, spares and consolidate and updates the files on a continuous basis.
Review Recommended Spare Parts lists (RSPL) for all new projects - recommend spare parts for control system, field instruments, analyzer, telecom, Fire and Gas system, and skid component for all new projects.
To carryout Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) of the offer provided by Buyer/supply department for the spares of control system, field instruments, analyser, telecom, Fire and Gas system and skid component.
Carry out engineering feasibility study (eMOC) in coordination with required disciplines and develop mitigation solution for Obsolescence Management to upgrade following obsolete control systems & review obsolete component:
a) ESD /F&G system Triconex
b) DCS Emerson Delta V & Invensys
c) Package PLC of Make Modicon, Allen Bradly, Siemens, Schneider electric
d) Turbine Control System
e) Machine Monitoring System Bentley Nevada
To carryout Engineering review of obsolete Field instruments & carryout feasibility study to upgrade
To carryout Engineering, review of obsolete all types of instrument valves like Control valve, ESDV, ON/OFF, MOV valve, Analyzer etc. & carryout feasibility study to upgrade
To review obsolescence issues related to Analyzer used in LNG industry like, Gas chromatograph, O2, H2S, SG, CO2, PH, Conductivity, RVP, CEMS
Experience in review of instrument datasheet, specification sheet drawing, sizing calculation to finalize Instrument
Experience in review of system drawing, architecture, P&ID, GA drawings
To carryout Engineering review of obsolete Telecommunication spare with support from Telecom group
Experience in offshore instrumentation
Review of all instrument Master Data Governance (MDG) studies (Material creation, change, deletion and obsolete) through SAP.
