EngineeringWe have a current opportunity for a CVR ( construction vessel rep ) - ROV on a temporary basis. The position will be based in various locations offshore.
Responsibilities
It is your job to facilitate the safe and efficient completion of work by the contractor for the client.
You represent the clients interests and you must be exemplary in your behaviour. You are not employed by the client but you will often be regarded as "the company man" by the people you work with and you must behave accordingly.
CVRs are highly experienced, competent individuals carefully selected to represent the client onboard our Contractors, and/or sub-contractors vessels or worksites. The CVR position is a key leadership role and as such carries certain expectations, beyond the oversight of the work, which are to be exhibited at all times.
The primary role of a CVR is to act as and discharge accountabilities of the client as Site Safety Leader whilst working on board the vessel or site.
The CVR is the single point of contact for all official communication between the client and the Contractor’s offshore team including, but not limited to, communication regarding HSSE, quality, acceptance of work, communication of instructions, approval of changes, review of daily reports, delivery performance and discussion of any other significant issues requiring attention. The CVR also supports any incident investigation as necessary.

- The specific discipline for which the vessel has been hired to execute. (e.g. pipelay, heavy lifting, intervention, diving, )
- Leading and working collaboratively with both client personnel and contractor’s vessel management, technical representatives, specialists, inspectors etc. as required at all stages of the execution campaign
- Championing HSSE and Quality expectations
- Participating in and/or leading the development of engineered procedures, hazard identifications, risk assessments, JSEAs, Go/No-go meetings,
- Coordinating onshore activities to verify the vessel, personnel, and equipment are ready for mobilization
- Executing marine and offshore construction and execution activity in conformance with approved procedures based on priorities, schedules, SIMOPs, etc. as determined by the onshore Execution team
- Verifying the vessel is operated in a safe and environmentally responsible manner and in conformance with the vessel contract
