On behalf of a major Oil & Gas operator, WRS are seeking a highly experienced Logistics Marine Specialist to support the commissioning and operation readiness of a major new marine terminal in Tanga, Tanzania. This is a rotational, site-based role focused on marine operations, coordination with Tanzanian Port Authorities, and ensuring readiness for tanker berthing, vessel support, and oil export activities. You will play a critical role in project delivery, ensuring all marine operations are safely, efficiently, and compliantly executed in accordance with international standards.
The role will be offered on a 12 month renewable contract, rotating 8 weeks/2 weeks at site, paying a day rate in USD.

This is a rotational, site-based role focused on marine operations, coordination with Tanzanian Port Authorities, and ensuring readiness for tanker berthing, vessel support, and oil export activities. You will play a critical role in project delivery, ensuring all marine operations are safely, efficiently, and compliantly executed in accordance with international standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate marine logistics planning and execution for terminal operations.
- Finalize terminal offloading jetty design and technical requirements.
- Define and validate operational procedures and checklists for marine operations.
- Liaise with TPA to define training requirements, equipment readiness, and staffing plans.
- Provide technical input on marine simulation studies and berthing configuration.
- Support audits of marine service providers (tugboats, support vessels, etc.).
- Implement environmental and emergency response measures, including oil spill preparedness.
- Ensure all marine equipment, including fenders, docking stations, and fire-fighting systems, is operational for start-up.
- Contribute to CAPEX/OPEX definition for marine operations.
- Support and promote local content integration in marine logistics.
- Master Mariner (STCW Class 1) with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the oil & gas industry.
- Minimum 5 years’ direct experience in vessel berthing and loading operations at trestle jetty facilities.
- Familiar with DMA, port design documentation, and marine contracting.
- Experience working for an oil & gas operator
- PSFSO certification and ship manned model training.
- Strong knowledge of emergency response, oil spill management, and HSE compliance.
- Proven ability to operate in a multi-cultural and high-stakes project environment.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
