Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Role Overview

Seeking a candidate with expertise in machining and engineering principles to optimize production processes, develop machining strategies, and ensure quality and efficiency in manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze and improve machining processes; develop strategies and select equipment (e.g., EDM/CNC machines, mills).
  • CAD/CAM Programming: Create and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
  • Fixture Design: Design and oversee the manufacture of machining fixtures for production.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve machining-related issues.
  • Quality Control: Ensure parts meet tolerances and quality standards through inspections.
  • Documentation: Maintain machining process documentation (e.g., work instructions, PFMEAs, control plans).
  • Collaboration: Work with design engineers, production teams, and stakeholders to ensure efficient operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancement through lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Hands-on Support: Assist with part launches, troubleshooting, and new process/equipment implementation.


Skills and Qualifications
  • Machining Expertise: Proficient in CNC programming, setup, operation, and maintenance.
  • CAD/CAM Proficiency: Skilled in CAD/CAM software for CNC programming.
  • GD&T Knowledge: Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing principles.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and solution development.
  • Communication: Effective collaboration and communication with teams and stakeholders.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of lean principles for process improvement.
  • Quality Assurance: Understanding of quality control and inspection methods.
  • Safety Awareness: Commitment to safety protocols and practices.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
