EngineeringWe are looking for a Cost Controller for one of our clients with the following details:
Start Date: Middle of August
Service Location: Muscat, Oman
Service Duration: 12 months (renewable)
Service Status: Resident (5 days per week)
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Professional Experience (years): +8
- Experience in similar position (years): +4 years' experience with Projects Cost Control Systems (preferably in Oil & Gas Industry), Experience operating in Fabrication/Construction yards
- Level / Diploma: Degree qualified in Accounting, Engineering or similar
- Technical competencies: High level of understanding of SAP systems and Project requirements in alignment with Project Execution and Handover requirements + Sound IT (EXCEL, PowerPoint, PDF, PowerBI) and systems management knowledge
- Languages: English mandatory
Activities:
The Service Holder shall work within Project Control team supporting the LNG Bunkering Project in Cost Control management during Execution phase.
The service holder:
- Undertakes the day-to-day Cost Control activities
- Is key in the invoicing process, comprising the invoicing from the different suppliers and between the different locations of each project
- Supports the Project Control and Project Team in all matters relating to Cost Control area
- Shall contribute to delivery of the project in time and in budget
- Shall observe & impose strict confidentiality all along the course of the Project
- The service holder is accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behaviour about HSE rules & requirements, with regards to the Company Ethics and "Code of Conduct" policy.
- The service holder is taking part of all the activities relative to services to the Project and is accountable for following tasks, including but not limited to:
Invoice Management Process:
- Ensure efficient and accurate invoice workflow process
- Monitor invoices receipt, registration, cost allocation, rates and contractual compliance analysis
- Invoice validation workflow management
- Invoicing and invoice rejected management
- Payment follow-up, in liaison with TEPOD and PROJECT LLC accounting departments to enable timely payments
- Advance payment deduction calculation, monthly values forecast, cash calls estimation
- Filing of all project cost documentation accordingly
Budget
- Participate to the Project Budget preparation
- Collect the necessary input (internal & external) for the budget preparation, revision and Final Cost Estimation
- Take part of the Budget variations analysis and presentation to budget owners
- Preparation and monitoring of AFE's
- Provide "ad-hoc" support as required
Cost Control day-to-day activities
- Participate to Project expenditures monitoring and follow-up
- Take part of the purchase process: Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order creation and follow-up
- Control the internal and external commitments and cost allocation, proceed with necessary reallocations
- Ensure RFS full process administration (open, register, analysis, control, report, closure)
- Assistance on Site man-hours follow-up, mobilisation plan cost estimation / forecasting
- Responsible for the team time writing ("CATS") complete and on time,
- Assist with establishment of comprehensive cost control procedures, maintaining appropriate costing philosophy and Cost Control methodology as per Company Standards and metier recommendations
- File all the cost control documents and follow up according to the document filing system
- Take part of the MM module implementation within our ERP (SAP)
Monthly Closure & Cost Reporting
- Collect all the necessary data to proceed with the monthly closure
- Review the Commitment Scheduler and prepare appropriate accruals
- Participate to the monthly Cost Control reports, analysis and presentation
- Provide input to the cash flow estimation and monthly cash calls
