Job Title: Well Integrity Engineer
Location: Qatar
Contract Type: Long-Term Contract (Annually Renewable)
Schedule: Full-Time – Site-Based or Rotational (as per operational need)

Join a global energy organisation on a major upstream project where safety, reliability, and sustainability are paramount. We're currently seeking a Well Integrity Engineer to support a mature asset's integrity and reliability by managing well barrier assurance, corrosion monitoring, and risk mitigation across the full well lifecycle.

This position plays a key role in safeguarding well operations, advising on well design, suspension, abandonment, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal governance. You'll work across functions and collaborate with stakeholders to improve systems and implement effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the implementation and continuous improvement of the Well Integrity Management System (WIMS)

  • Monitor annulus pressure, define well operating envelopes, and assess MAASP/MAWOP

  • Conduct inspections and maintenance of well barriers, and review testing results to ensure system reliability

  • Analyse well integrity issues, perform root cause analysis, and propose remedial/preventative actions

  • Support surface and downhole corrosion monitoring and management, ensuring effective strategies are in place

  • Provide technical input into the design, construction, and abandonment of wells

  • Support new ventures during planning and start-up to embed well integrity best practices

  • Review and update integrity-related processes, procedures, and operational programmes

  • Lead or participate in cross-functional improvement teams focused on technical delivery and risk reduction

  • Ensure all practices align with industry standards, safety case requirements, and internal guidelines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in well integrity, well suspension/abandonment, well completions, workovers, and rigless operations

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in multi-disciplinary teams

  • In-depth knowledge of well integrity systems, well barriers, wellheads, and trees

  • Experience with corrosion monitoring (surface and downhole) and annulus pressure management

  • Offshore experience is advantageous
