As a full-service environmental, engineering, and geological firm, MAS offers scientific and management services. Our corporate office is located in Tampa, Florida, with support offices throughout the southeastern Unites States. With a focus on environmental cleanup and consulting services, our team members have extensive experience in various environmentally associated activities. Our senior staff, including employees from prior firms, collectively possess over 150 years of experience in this field.

MAS is hiring an Environmental Technician for our Tampa, FL office within our remediation team. Come join our team!

Responsibilities:
  • Report preparation for geological subsurface events including drilling, soil and groundwater sampling, underground storage tank (UST) removals, private drinking water well surveys, and other environmental tasks.
  • Prepare reports, by assisting with data compilation, reduction, interpretation, evaluation, and comparison to state and/or federal environmental regulatory standards.
  • Collecting soil and groundwater samples for laboratory analysis.
  • Conducting soil borings to assess subsurface conditions.
  • Overseeing the installation of wells on environmental remediation projects.
  • Engaging in fieldwork related to geological, geophysical, and geotechnical investigations.
  • Maintain FDEP sampling standards of environmental sampling and monitoring for various media and contaminants of concern by following established procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Geology, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in groundwater sampling, soil borings, and well installations.
  • Effective communication skills for interactions with local, state, and federal regulators, as well as clients and property owners.

Preferred Skills:
  • Florida Department of Environmental Protection Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP) experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and permitting processes.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
