Construction Superintendent – Electrical

About the Role
We’re seeking a highly experienced Construction Superintendent (Electrical) to lead the delivery of complex onshore infrastructure and building projects within a major oil and gas development programme. This position plays a key role in supervising electrical construction works—both greenfield and brownfield—and ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the electrical construction scope across a range of industrial facilities including substations, control centres, logistics bases, and brownfield upgrades.

Supervise contractor and subcontractor teams on-site, ensuring compliance with safety policies, project standards, and execution plans.

Review and approve electrical construction documents including method statements, specifications, drawings, and deliverables.

Monitor project progress against schedule and identify improvements to construction execution.

Interface with project stakeholders across engineering, operations, and systems completions to align plans and resolve issues.

Ensure construction is fully integrated with pre-commissioning and commissioning requirements.

Lead or support related disciplines (such as instrumentation and control) as required.

Drive safety culture by applying safe work practices and permit-to-work procedures.

Contribute to constructability reviews, 3D model walkdowns, and sequence planning workshops.

Actively liaise with operational teams to align field execution with long-term operational readiness.
What We’re Looking For

Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 8 years’ experience in construction for large-scale oil & gas projects, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.

Proven track record in construction of industrial buildings (e.g., substations, admin blocks, control rooms, warehouses).

Skilled in interpreting technical documentation: MRs, datasheets, layout drawings, and standards.

Solid understanding of contract compliance, codes, safety, and quality expectations.

Experience in both greenfield and brownfield project environments, ideally in the Middle East.

Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital tools used in construction management.

Fluent in written and spoken English.
