Rotation: 28 days on / 28 days off
Duration:18 months
Mobilisation: Q4 2025 - Q1 2026
We are seeking an experienced **Instrumentation / ICSS Commissioning Engineer** to join our client’s major onshore oil and gas development project in Uganda. This is a rotational site-based role within a large-scale greenfield project located in a remote and environmentally sensitive area.
Key Responsibilities
- Define subsystem boundaries and commissioning packages.
- Oversee contractor pre-commissioning and commissioning activities both onshore and offshore.
- Approve contractor methods, strategies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with HSE plans and standards throughout all activities.
- Witness and validate mechanical completion, RFSU, FAT, SAT, and iFAT processes.
- Manage punch list activities and ensure resolution and sign-off.
- Interface with suppliers, field operations, and internal teams on technical deliverables and planning.
- Conduct cyber security audits and ensure proper handover of software licenses, passwords, and system access.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in pre-commissioning and commissioning of ICSS, PSD, ESD, and F&G systems.
- Strong understanding of OPERCOM methodology and experience with ICAPS or similar completion systems.
- Broad knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, telecoms, and their integration within oil and gas facilities.
- Experience in a multicultural and multi-contractor project environment.
- Relevant technical qualification or equivalent professional experience.

- The project site is in a remote area with complex logistical and environmental constraints.
- The visa and mobilisation process can be lengthy—up to 6 months
