Location: Baku, Azerbaijan | Contract: Fixed-term, 3 Years (Renewable)
An established international oil and gas company is seeking a results-driven Commercial Director to lead and oversee its commercial operations in Azerbaijan. This is a strategic leadership role ideal for a seasoned professional ready to influence high-value projects and shape regional growth.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead commercial strategy and execution across upstream and downstream operations.
• Manage high-level negotiations and commercial agreements with clients, suppliers, and government stakeholders.
• Drive business development initiatives aligned with company goals and market opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and internal risk management policies.
• Represent the company in external commercial affairs and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

 Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years’ commercial leadership experience in the oil and gas sector.
• Strong understanding of international oil and gas markets, contracts, and regulations.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to operate effectively in cross-cultural and international environments.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Azerbaijani or Russian is an asset.

 Employment Package Includes:

• Fixed-term employment contract for three (3) years, with potential for extension by mutual agreement
• Two annual round-trip flight tickets to home country for the employee and direct family members, per company policy
