Job Title: Senior Civil & Structural Engineer (Onshore)
Location: Qatar
Contract Type: Office-based, short-term contract (3–4 months)
Working Schedule: Sunday to Thursday

Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil & Structural Engineer for a short-term assignment supporting onshore oil and gas brownfield projects. This role is office-based and ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in civil and structural engineering within the Middle East, particularly in brownfield environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to engineering design phases: Concept, FEED, and Detailed Design.

• Develop brownfield layouts, including drainage systems and associated infrastructure.

• Review and provide inputs on architectural deliverables for new buildings.

• Design reinforced concrete and steel structures including pipe supports, pipe racks, bridges, and platforms.

• Conduct adequacy checks for existing structures.

• Prepare material take-offs and support construction planning.

• Deliver engineering calculations using Staad Pro Connect and Mat3D.

• Perform site surveys to support preparation of engineering documents.

• Engage with clients and attend both internal and external coordination meetings.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.

• 10+ years’ experience in civil/structural engineering for brownfield oil & gas projects.

• Solid understanding of international codes and standards including BS EN, American codes, and industry specifications.

• Knowledge of QCS (Qatar Construction Specifications) and Shell DEPs.

• Previous work experience in Qatar and familiarity with local engineering practices is highly desirable.

• Strong skills in civil/structural software tools, including Staad Pro Connect and Mat3D.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
