Lead Process Commissioning Engineer


Great opportunity to work as a Lead Process Commissioning Engineer on a major greenfield offshore natural gas project on the client side for a repuatble Operator. The role will be based at Karimun Island initially on a 6/2 rotation until mid - 2026 before mobilising offshore in Europe. 

About the Project

Owner is currently in the execute phase for the design, build, and installation of a subsea development to produce natural gas from two fields. The gas will be dehydrated on a Platform (SWP) to meet the gas sales specification before being exported onshore via a natural gas metering station (NGMS) and entering the National Transmission System (NTS).

Job responsibilities:
  • Accountable for the safe and timely preparation and execution of the project commissioning work scope, in adherence with project HSSE safety targets, procedures and practices.
  • Oversee 3rd Party Vendors support to the Project.
  • Accountable for ensuring all discipline commissioning is carried out in accordance with project commissioning specifications, standards and procedures.
  • Accountable for developing the project discipline commissioning strategy and approving electrical procedures.
  • Supervise the safe completion of the project discipline pre-commissioning / commissioning work-scope.
  • Supervise and support the project discipline Commissioning Team.
  • Provide process commissioning input to the project plans and schedules.
  • Develop project discipline commissioning strategy documents.
  • Review discipline commissioning procedures - ensure compliance with project standards, specifications and procedures.
  • Monitor and report discipline commissioning progress on a regular basis.
  • Support the preparation of system and sub-system breakdown for discipline Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in accordance with the Limits of System Handover (LOSH).
  • Identify specialist required for commissioning purposes for the discipline.
  • Identify Commissioning tools and test equipment requirements for the discipline.
  • Identify Utility, Chemical and media requirements for commissioning purposes.
  • Support the preparation of Commissioning and start-up Procedures and Method statements.
  • Identify any areas of work scope minimisation during the detailed development of the work.
  • Attend Factory Acceptance (FAT) and System Integrity (SIT) tests as necessary.
  • Prepare schedules for vendor attendance and preservation in accordance with requirements of the overall plan.
  • Assist in the specification of Commissioning and Start-up spares.
  • Supervise functional and dynamic Commissioning for the discipline.
  • Identify competent resources from the discipline for assisting Operations during start-up and initial operation.
  • Identify competent resources from the discipline for Performance Testing of equipment.
 
Job requirements:
  • HNC / HND (or equivalent) in suitable Engineering subject.
  • Minimum 12 years experience in a similar role on an Oil & Gas onshore/ offshore facility.
