Position: Renewable Energy Technician
Locations: Coldwater, MI (Tibbits Site) | Bremond, TX (Tidwell Site)
Compensation: $36-$42/hr + full benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k with match)
Travel/Shift: Field service position (no set shift)

Overview:
The Renewable Energy Technician performs construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repair work on substations, high-voltage equipment, collection systems, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). This role supports safe operations, coordinates with contractors and suppliers, maintains inventory and tooling, and responds to after-hours emergencies as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on substations, transmission, collection, and BESS equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve protection/control equipment and relay issues.
• Manage emergency response for high-voltage and BESS systems.
• Operate facilities safely and in compliance with LOTO procedures.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and landowners.
• Read and interpret high-voltage electrical schematics.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• 4+ years of high-voltage electrical experience (or equivalent military experience).
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and interpreting computer data.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
• Effective communicator with good written skills; safety-focused.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and perform duties requiring standing, climbing, kneeling, or crawling.
