Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Preconstruction Project Engineer in the Renewable Energy market to manage the preparation and verification of PV Electrical Power Systems. The Preconstruction Project Engineer is responsible for the implementation and development of Flintco's capabilities in the PV Electrical Power Market presence. This position is accountable for modeling a safe, effective and efficient operation and adhering to the Company values, policies and procedures.

Knowledge/Skills/Ability
Proficiency with AutoCAD not required but helpful; Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and additional computer software; Possesses effective written and oral communications skills; Assists with client contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments and meetings; Strong Organizational skills. Must possess strong technical verbal and technical writing skills and be able to read technical literature and engineering plans. Must demonstrate two-way communication to effectively work with internal staff and external clients.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
4 years of engineering design or other relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Work Directly with the Preconstruction Manager in the implementation of the activities associated with projects prior to the mobilzation to the site.
- Assist with the preparation of proposals for utility-scale solar projects, including responding to RFPs (Requests for Proposals), RFIs (Requests for Information), and RFQs (Requests for Quotations).
- Establish and maintain electronic filing systems, updating drawings and specifications, and managing document logs.
- Identifying and solicite subcontractors, review their qualifications, and ensure they are properly included in preconstruction activities. Overseeing the installation and commissioning processes to ensure project specifications are met.
- Act as a liaison between different teams (e.g., estimating, engineering, procurement, operations) to ensure smooth project transition.
- Responsible for coordination of internal stakeholders, engineering partners, and clients to ensure successful engineering and construction support of projects during the late-stage preconstruction and construction phases.
- Participate in project planning activities, including developing preliminary designs, site configurations, and ensuring alignment with project specifications and industry standards.
- Assist the Preconstruction Manager the completion of project engineering through IFC and ensuring the construction team operates in accordance with IFC design and good engineering practice.
- Assit in ensuring contractual, technical, and quality requirements are met in accordance with prime contract, in accordance to applicable codes & standards, and in accordance with Flintco / Alberici quality and safety guidelines.
- Work with Project Managers, Site Managers, Superintendents, Foremen and Field Engineers toward the successful construction of PV & BESS Projects
- Propose and Review Value Engineering Opportunities for projects, including economic and technical analysis
- Ensure project documentation is aligned with company standards and project records are maintained
- Maintains outstanding company-client relationships
- Maintains high ethical and professional standards within the overall organization
- Engaged in lifelong learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issues
- Attend safety training and follow safety rules and guidelines
- Other responsibilities as assigned
