EngineeringJOB OVERVIEW:
The Project Manager – Powerhouse leads the planning, execution, and completion of all works related to the construction of the powerhouse and its associated systems within a large-scale hydropower dam or pumped storage project. This role ensures that civil, structural, electromechanical, and interface works inside the powerhouse are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and compliance standards.
This position requires a technically experienced leader with deep knowledge of hydropower powerhouse systems, coordination of multi-disciplinary teams, and experience managing contractors and stakeholders in challenging field environments.
THE ROLE:
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of the powerhouse construction package, including excavation, structural works, E&M installation, and interface integration.
• Manage daily site activities to ensure alignment with design, schedule, quality, safety, and cost targets.
• Supervise and coordinate all contractors, engineers, and subcontractors working within the powerhouse.
• Collaborate closely with design teams, electro-mechanical experts, and tunneling/underground leads to ensure seamless interface and execution.
• Drive construction planning, sequencing, and resource allocation for critical path activities.
• Monitor progress, resolve site-level issues, and implement recovery actions where delays or deviations occur.
• Enforce compliance with technical specifications, international standards, and safety protocols.
• Prepare progress reports, construction dashboards, and updates for management and stakeholders.
• Support inspections, audits, and testing and commissioning activities in coordination with QA/QC and E&M teams.
• Serve as the site-level point person for powerhouse-related technical queries and contractor coordination.
THE INDIVIDUAL:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering; PRC license preferred.
• At least 15 years of experience in large-scale hydropower infrastructure projects, with 10 years in a leadership role specific to powerhouse or major industrial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of underground or semi-underground structures, high-capacity turbine/generator housing, and heavy equipment interface.
• Familiarity with EPC or multi-package execution models.
• Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, Power BI).
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience in hydropower or pumped storage powerhouse construction.
• Willingness to be deployed 100% onsite, with flexibility for Rizal or Laguna project locations.
NOTE: At least 15 years of experience in Hydroelectric/Hydropower is required. Willing to relocate to project site. Not less than 1,400 MW pumped-storage hydropower plant. Available to join by November 2025.
