Job Description Summary

Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.
The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • The primary focus of this role is driving process improvement initiatives, with an emphasis on enhancing Cpk (process capability index), implementing quality improvements, and utilizing Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
  • Define and oversee production processes, including tooling and equipment, ensuring alignment with design specifications and shop floor applications for new products, tools, or equipment.
  • Validate and implement manufacturing processes, leveraging technical expertise to optimize production cycles and address complex challenges.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of technical disciplines and analytical thinking to execute policies and strategies effectively.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices, competitive landscape, and factors that differentiate the organization in the market.
  • Exercise judgment to propose innovative solutions outside of established parameters for complex manufacturing processes with technical variety and interdependencies.
  • Collaborate across internal teams and limited external sources to make informed decisions.
  • Serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues, providing guidance and support.
  • Lead small-scale projects with low risk and resource requirements, driving consensus and team alignment on technical topics.
  • Communicate performance expectations clearly and address sensitive issues as needed.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or a comparable field.


Desired Characteristics
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze and resolve problems effectively.
  • Demonstrated capability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
  • P roficiency in programming languages such as Python or R languages is preferred.
