Senior Piping Designer / Senior Piping Engineer

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Contract Type: 3-month subcontract (possibility of extension)

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Senior Piping Designers / Engineers to support project delivery in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves collaborating closely with the lead piping team to produce high-quality deliverables and ensure project timelines are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Work within the project office to assist with or produce design deliverables for piping systems.
• Utilise 3D design software (S3D or equivalent) to model equipment, piping, and supports.
• Update 3D models incorporating review comments from internal teams and consultants.
• Perform 3D model checking, including clash detection and model readiness verification.
• Produce 2D drawings up to Approved for Construction (AFC) deliverables if required.
• Perform pipe support design for modelling and drawing activities as required.
• Execute all piping and layout activities as needed for the project.
• Track and clear action items from the project To-Do list.

Project Schedule & Requirements

• Expected engagement: 1 September 2025 - 30 November 2025 (3 months).
• Total allocated manhours: 2250 hours across 5 personnel.
• Contract extension possible depending on project workload and approval.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Piping Designer or Senior Piping Engineer.
• Highly proficient in 3D piping design software such as S3D.
• Strong knowledge of piping layout, equipment modelling, and support design.
• Experience producing 2D drawings up to AFC level.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a collaborative team environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to incorporate review feedback effectively.
