EngineeringOur client is currently recruiting for the position of Project Manager, based onshore in Aberdeen. This is for a long-term contract role (approximately 18 months) and is available on a PAYE contract.
Candidates must have experience of delivery of projects involving critical marine operations, such as CSV’s, Lift Vessels, heading control. FPSO experience is essential.
Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for safe effective delivery of the project.
This includes coordination of internal project and discipline resources, and ensuring
arrangements for sub-contracted Engineering, Procurement, Construction and
Commissioning services are aligned to Dana business requirements.
The Project Manager will ensure effective interface with other applicable business
functions such as operations support, shutdown coordination and supply chain to
ensure supply, logistics, construction, commissioning and handover is completed
successfully.

Responsibilities:
- Development of Project Execution Plan and associated resource model.
- Development of an overall integrated project schedule, risk register and action tracker.
- Interface with operations and shutdown focal points to ensure alignment and readiness to execute all planned activities.
- Ensure project deliverables are subjected to adequate scrutiny.
- Provide input to engineering project scope definition and execution.
- Delivery of work within assigned budgets and identification of cost savings.
- Management of third-party suppliers in the execution of topsides engineering project delivery
- Ensure topsides engineering project work scopes follow the relevant company management procedures.
- Ensure effective interface with IVB regarding modification verification activities.
- Adhere to and comply with relevant company procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Identify business risks and provide input to the business risk register and cumulative risk process.
Specific Requirements:
- Results-oriented, articulate and persuasive.
- Provide leadership to internal and external resource teams and set realistic schedules as well as meet challenging ones.
- Methodical and well organised.
- Able to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness in a positive and constructive manner to both known work areas and new ones.
- Able to effectively manage, co-ordinate, and integrate a number of simultaneous activities/contractors.
- Displays high standards of ethical and professional behaviour, consistent with the company’s values and business conduct policies.
- Demonstrates strong team-building and creates an environment that fosters commitment to a common vision and openness of knowledge sharing.
- Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Delivery of projects involving critical marine operations, such as CSV’s, Lift Vessels, heading control.
- Awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reports.
- Proven track record in project delivery and third-party management.
- Experience of asset operations either in an onshore or offshore role
- Experience of EPC work including at concept, FEED and detailed design.
- Membership of / Chartership by a relevant industry body i.e. APM, IMechE is beneficial but not essential.
