Job Title: Senior Production Operations Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Production Operations Engineer to lead the development of asset capabilities related to operational failure root cause analysis. This role focuses on maximizing asset availability and operational efficiency by preventing recurrent failures and ensuring safe, cost-effective production.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of asset capability in operational failure root cause analysis to prevent recurrence and maximize asset availability and deliverability.
• Establish loss reporting and lessons learned procedures to ensure a sustainable, documented process for continuous improvement.
• Develop expertise in Well Operations to become the primary asset focal point for well operational integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to support the safe delivery of production forecasts and operational support from onshore discipline teams.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Asset Integrity, OSRMS, and IOAIA processes, ensuring compliance with safety requirements.
• Contribute to budget control by managing OPEX spend within your sphere of influence.
• Support Production Superintendents and Supervisors to ensure production systems are operated safely and efficiently, in line with industry practices and company procedures.
• Ensure the correct identification, operation, maintenance, and testing of safety-critical equipment in accordance with Safety Case/OSRMS parameters.
• Develop competencies and behaviours necessary to eventually deputize for the Operations Manager, Senior Superintendent, or Field Production Superintendent.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree or qualification in an appropriate discipline (preferably Engineering or related).
• Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in offshore and/or onshore oil and gas operations.
• Ability to quickly assess complex operational environments and manage SIMOPS risk interactions within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience in troubleshooting program development and delivering workscopes in remote operating environments.
• Flexibility and readiness to undertake frequent offshore trips of varying duration, with responsibility for successful outcomes.
• Strong autonomous work ethic, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks in high-pressure environments while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Current BOSIET certification and AME medical.
• Proven ability to operate and communicate effectively at both operational and management levels, both offshore and onshore.
• Strong presentation, analytical, and diagnostic skills.
• 5 years of site production operations experience, ideally with a trade qualification or higher education in Engineering.
• Willingness to receive Emergency Response Command and Control training, with the ability to apply this in an onshore EMT environment.
