This Position reports to:
Engineering Manager I

ABB is looking for a new colleague for the High Voltage Switchgear unit in Brno, for the position of Design Engineer in the Production Technical Preparation Department.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Creating production documentation for non-standard mechanical parts in high-voltage switchgear using SolidWorks (3D models and drawings).
• Modifying existing templates.
• Collaborating with project managers, the production line, and occasionally directly with international customers to clarify requirements.
• Assisting in resolving issues during production and testing, and eliminating identified deficiencies.
• Participating in the development of new products and changes to existing products in cooperation with the development center.

Qualifications for the Role

• Secondary or university education in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Interest in the electrical field; knowledge of power engineering is a strong advantage.
• Certification under Regulation 50 § 5 is an advantage.
• Knowledge of high-voltage switchgear is a plus.
• Creative and proactive approach to work.
• User-level experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D software.
• Intermediate English skills are an advantage.
• Communicative, independent, and a team player.
