Wood is currently recruiting for a Junior Engineer - Integrity Management. The Junior Engineer will contribute to the delivery of Asset Life Optimisation (ALO) consultancy services to the internal Wood business units and to Wood's external client base. This role is primarily based in Wood offices but may also require on-site support, both onshore and offshore.
The Role
Roles in this team are crucial for ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of engineering projects and will typically support one or more of the following specialist areas. While prior experience in any of these areas is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
From advisory (front end studies, concept design and strategic planning) to design (FEED, detailed design and owner's engineer) through to delivery (project management consulting), we lead our clients to the best possible outcomes. Not forgetting our world-leading subsea, decarbonisation, new energies, asset optimization and technology development expertise, our ability to add value to our clients' portfolios and projects knows no bounds.

- Integrity Management (IM):
- Asset Integrity Management: Developing and implementing integrity management strategies for pipelines and process facilities, including Risk-Based
- Inspection (RBI), Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), and written schemes of inspection.
- Integrity Software: Specifying, implementing, and supporting asset performance management software configuration and implementation.
- Fitness-for-Service (FFS): Providing expert advice and assessments around fitness-for-purpose assessment of pressure systems including re-rating and de-rating
The key high-level aspects of the role are as follows:
- Entry-level position for new graduates with typically less than two years of experience.
- Contributes to the successful completion of engineering workscopes and consultancy services as directed by immediate supervisor.
- Assists in the development of engineering deliverables.
- Performs routine aspects of engineering assignments and collaborates with experienced technical professionals for non-routine aspects.
- Solves problems of a routine nature within clearly defined procedures and with ready access to support and guidance.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of routine tasks that are planned to provide experience and familiarization with the engineering staff and the methods, practices, and programs of the discipline.
- Provides straightforward solutions to problems using readily available, clear, and direct references.
- Collects and evaluates data and develops plans for assignments that may involve design application.
- Prepares simple plans and calculations in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
- Carries out routine analysis and works in accordance with instructions.
- Assists more experienced technical personnel with specific aspects of more complex tasks.
- Initiates the exchange of required technical concepts and information with other disciplines.
- Assignments typically involve individual project phases or projects of limited scope.
- Prepares reports on their assignments and makes recommendations on the solution of technical problems within the scope of assignment.

- This is an entry level role, typically have less than two years' experience in the on- and offshore oil and gas industry.
- Able to communicate clearly verbally and in written form.
- Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn.

Educational attainments
- ISCED Level 6 Bachelors (minimum) or Level 7 Masters (preferred) Degree in engineering discipline, alternatively, tertiary level education combined with suitable industry experience can be used to demonstrate equivalence.
- A degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Chemical Engineering is preferred; however, candidates with relevant experience or a strong interest in the field are also encouraged to apply.
