Overview

We are looking for a skilled Field Service Technician - Motors & Generators to join our team in Minneapolis, MN. In this role, you will perform on-site maintenance, diagnostics, and repair services for equipment supported by our Machine Service Division (MSD). The ideal candidate brings a solid technical background in electric motors, generators, and rotating equipment, with proven ability to troubleshoot, service, and restore equipment to peak performance.

This position is hands-on, customer-facing, and critical to ensuring reliable operation of our clients' power and motor systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair electric motors, generators, and related equipment in the field
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently
• Conduct preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and performance
• Deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining clear and professional communication with clients
• Accurately complete required service reports, documentation, and work orders in a timely manner
• Follow all safety procedures, standards, and company policies while working on-site

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in electrical/mechanical fields preferred
• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Field Service Technician, preferably with motors, generators, or rotating equipment
• Solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• Self-motivated and adaptable, able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a service team

Pay Range

USD $30.00 - USD $45.00 /Hr.
