• Wood is currently seeking a Senior HSSE Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing health, safety, security, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
• Developing annual HSE improvement plans in line with Company and Client strategic and business unit objectives.
• Developing and managing the project HSE interface requirements; ensuring compliance withal existing interface documents and in the development of future plans.
• Ensuring the requirements stipulated in HSE interface documents/plans are communicated to all relevant personnel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing HSE incident investigations, ensuring that findings and actions attributed to the analysis of the incident are tracked and addressed; undertaking the appropriate reporting requirements
• Developing the local HSE audit and inspection programme as required by the SBU
• Communicating the important messages from incidents and accidents as a part of the Lessons-learned process to all relevant parties
• Ensuring the project emergency response arrangements are in place and are communicated to all personnel; ensuring that project requirements align with Client requirements if these take precedence
• Liaising with and building relationship with Client HSE Reps and offshore/site Safety Reps as required
• Managing attendance and participation at project HSE meetings, workshops and forums
• Maintaining a system for monitoring HSE performance
• Developing an offshore/site HSE visit programme for both self and for project/contract management and for Corporate HSE management
• Promoting workforce involvement in all HSE activities, initiatives and programmes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Qualifications:
  • ONC/HNC or equivalent in Technical, HSE or related industry.
  • Degree in relevant technical, industry or HSEQ specific discipline.
  • NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma (desirable)
  • NVQ Level 4 IOSH (desirable).
  • Trained Internal Auditor (desirable)
  • RCA - Accident/incident Investigator, e.g. Taproot/Top-Set (desirable)
• Minimum Experience:
  • 10 years in a technical role, or association with HSE role in another industry.
• Job-Specific Skills:
  • Senior Manager with project/contract experience in O&G or other industry.
  • Familiarisation with O&G offshore and other relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Broad HSEQ experience in similar/other industry.
  • Good planning and organisational skills.
  • Effective/competent MS Office Suite User.
