About the Project
This is a large-scale, onshore oil and gas development project in Uganda, located in a remote area with sensitive environmental conditions. The scope includes drilling pads, a major production center, water treatment facilities, and an extensive interconnecting network. The project is currently in the construction phase with a target for Ready for Start-Up (RFSU) in 2026.
You will be working in a challenging, multicultural environment requiring strict compliance with HSE standards, international codes, and Ugandan regulatory frameworks.

Role:
Electrical / Pre-Commissioning Supervisor Reporting to the Lead Electrical Engineer and supporting the Industrial Area Superintendent South, the role involves supervising all site activities related to the Electrical discipline during construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee Electrical works on site, ensuring contractors comply with Company standards, specifications, and procedures.
• Support commissioning activities and ensure seamless coordination with the Construction and Commissioning teams.
• Act as the primary supervisor for a dedicated site area, ensuring construction sequences align with project schedules.
• Oversee installation, testing, calibration, and vendor activities for electrical systems.
• Ensure quality assurance and compliance with international codes, safety regulations, and Company specifications.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, productivity, and quality.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, QA/QC, and HSE teams to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
• Compile daily/weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Proactively identify interface issues and anticipate scheduling risks during construction and commissioning.

Candidate Profile

• Qualification: HND, Diploma, or equivalent in Electrical discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 12 years in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical construction projects, with expertise in large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of international codes, standards, and hazardous area installations.
• Experience in high-voltage installations (switchgear, drives, etc.).
• Previous experience with major IOCs/Contractors in oil and gas is highly desirable.
• Valid Compex training, HV authorization, and Safety Passport (CSCS or equivalent).
• Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills in multicultural environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good computer literacy.
• Valid medical certificate in line with Company standards.
