This Position reports to:
Senior Engineering Manager
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India.
Your role and responsibilities
- Lead Complex Engineering Projects: Manage medium to high complexity projects across multiple disciplines, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, and quality standards.
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed work plans and cost estimates, oversee execution, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality outcomes within budget.
- Process Analysis & Solution Design: Identify customer requirements, analyze current processes, uncover gaps, and design integrated solutions in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and mentor project teams throughout various phases, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
- Technical Support & Commissioning: Provide hands-on support for system testing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting during project implementation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, customers, and external partners to resolve technical issues and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Proactively suggest enhancements in product, service quality, and customer experience, while staying updated on emerging technologies in process automation.
Qualifications for the role
- Industry Experience: 8-10 years of experience in process automation within large-scale Oil & Gas, Refinery, or Petrochemical complexes, with expertise in DCS retrofits, upgrades, service, and commissioning.
- Technical Proficiency in DCS & ABB Systems: Strong understanding of complex DCS architectures involving multiple systems and third-party interfaces. Hands-on experience with ABB 800xA, Symphony Plus, and legacy systems such as Advant, Safeguard, Infi90, and SCADAVantage.

- IT & Network Skills: Proficient in system installation and integration in virtual environments, Windows administration, ESXi setup, RAID configuration, VMware, and cybersecurity tools like MacAfee ePO and WSUS. Familiarity with domain configuration, Active Directory, and group policy management.
- Field Communication & Instrumentation: Working knowledge of communication protocols (MODBUS, OPC), managed switches, routers, firewalls, and field devices including HART, Profibus, and Foundation Fieldbus. Experience in asset optimization and alarm management is a plus.
- Soft Skills & Global Mobility: Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a collaborative mindset. Must be self-motivated, adaptable, and open to long-term international travel, including offshore and onshore site assignments.
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or Electronics & Communication.
