Position Overview

Assemble, install, or maintain commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in compliance with site assessment and schematics. May include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical installation of solar racking systems and panels in an outdoor environment.
• Layout, assemble and install solar arrays and mounting hardware.
• Install photovoltaic (PV) systems in accordance with codes and standards using drawings, schematics, and instructions.
• Perform routine solar system maintenance on modules, arrays, batteries, power conditioning equipment, safety systems, structural systems, weather sealing, or balance of systems equipment.
• Identify methods for laying out, orienting, and mounting modules or arrays to ensure efficient installation or system maintenance.
• Prepare and clean up job site.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to all customers throughout the process.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year(s) of commercial solar installation experience is preferred.
• Must be good with hand tools.
• Be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work well with others.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Age 18+.
• Proven commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Must have proper PPE - hard hat, gloves, steel toe boots, and safety glasses.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Proof of identity and employment authorization.

Physical Requirements

• Stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects.
• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.
• Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.

• See well (naturally or with correction).
