Contract Engineer (FPSO/ FPU, EPCI (Offshore), FEED competition) Education:

  • Minimum Bachelors degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Masters degree in Project Management or an MBA is an advantage.
Certifications:

  • Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.
Experience:

  • 15 years of experience in project services management within the oil & gas industry, particularly in upstream and deep-water projects.
  • Strong background in managing large, complex projects with multi-million-dollar budgets and international teams.
  • Expertise in offshore oil & gas operations, especially deep-water projects and Onshore Receiving Facilities (ORF).
  • Previous experience working with global teams and managing projects across different geographical regions is a plus.
  • Knowledge of project financials, including cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Ability to analyze data and present complex financials to non-financial stakeholders.

Contract Engineer is responsible for managing engineering projects on a contractual basis. Key responsibilities include:
  • Project Management: Overseeing engineering tasks, ensuring projects are completed within scope, time, and budget. 

  • Contract Negotiation: Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various engineering contracts, including service agreements and procurement contracts. 

  • Risk Assessment: Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and advising management on legal and financial implications. 

  • Coordination: Managing and coordinating construction projects from design to completion, ensuring quality standards are met. 

  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards throughout the project lifecycle. 

    This role is crucial in ensuring that engineering projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong Knowledge of contract management.
  • Strong leadership & team management skills, with the ability to motivate teams and drive performance.
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills (verbal & written).
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities in complex project environments.
  • Strong commitment in highly standard of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols in offshore projects.
