Job description

SPIE Global Service Energy currently hiring for Commissioning Technician - Instrumentation & Control System for Onshore Project in Basra, Iraq.

Its a rotational role- 28/28

Job Purpose-

Support commissioning and start-up activities related to Commissioning Technician - Instrumentation & Control System systems on the onshore oil & gas project. Work with the commissioning team to prepare, test, and hand over systems safely and on time.

Main Responsibilities-
• Assist in commissioning of instrumentation and control systems (DCS, PLC, transmitters, control valves).
• Perform loop checks, calibration, and functional tests of instruments.
• Support troubleshooting and adjustments during commissioning.
• Follow commissioning procedures and instructions from supervisors.
• Document commissioning activities and test results.
• Respect HSE rules and ensure safe working conditions.
• Support punch list activities and handover to operations.

Profile

Requirements-
• Iraqi nationals from Basra region.
• Technical diploma or equivalent in Instrumentation, Control Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in instrumentation maintenance or commissioning in oil & gas.
• Knowledge of control systems, transmitters, analyzers, and valves.
• Ability to read P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control system documents.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to safety.
