The DevOps Engineer I is responsible for creating the CI/CD pipeline that will drive the cloud solutions design, development, and maintenance for ABS WaveSight applications. This role is responsible for automating software development and deployment lifecycle to deliver speed to market, efficiency, and quality, resulting in higher value to customers.

This position is a Hybrid role in Spring, Texas (Remote Monday and Friday, in Office Tuesday - Thursday).

What You Will Do:

• Create and maintain CI/CD pipeline for ABS WaveSight applications using Microsoft Azure stack and other relevant technology.
• Work with a team of product developers and Cloud Engineers on several client projects simultaneously.
• Develop, test, and debug new modules and enhancements for all applications.
• Contribute to an agile project team to help understand and document client requirements, estimate work, develop new solutions, and enhance existing solutions.
• Actively conduct code reviews and facilitate peer code reviews to enhance quality.
• Work closely with the team to create/maintain an automated CI/CD software pipeline.
• Build and maintain end-to-end deployment automation for the entire product suite.
• Promote and collaborate on development and coding best practices.
• Research new technologies and create software architecture strategies to meet defined business objectives, including but not limited to minimizing cloud infrastructure cost.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
• Typically requires at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong experience developing, managing, and automating deployments for complex web applications deployed to Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
• In-depth understanding of software development process and workflows.
• Strong experience monitoring cloud-based applications for errors and performance.
• Strong experience with software design, ETL techniques, writing complex stored procedures, query optimization, data synchronization, code refactoring, DevOps, CI/CD, continuous testing, and version control.
• Ability to work in a team environment and have strong coordination, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to define, design, and implement an automated continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) system.
• Ability to develop a working knowledge of ABS Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, and related instructions, as well as the ABS Employee Safety Policy.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports directly to the Director, Manager, or Executive role.
