The Jazan IGCC is the world’s largest IGCC and ASU facility producing 2100 MMSCFD syngas, 18,000 MT/Day Oxygen, and 4 Gigawatts of power. Facilities and assets include residue gasification, acid gas clean up (Rectisol), soot ash recovery, Sulphur recovery (Claus & Scot), combined cycle power plants, materials handling systems, hydrogen recovery, air separation, water utility systems, and wastewater treatment facilities.
The Role:
An accountable Project Engineer responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that projects involve. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. The key focus of the position is to manage and monitor the technical and mechanical/piping aspects of any given project, ensuring running within budget and time frame.

Requirements of the Role:
- Work by the Company’s procedures and guidelines.
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the assigned engineering projects.
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
- Interact daily with the clients/construction team / Contractor to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
- Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
- Assign responsibilities and mentor the project team.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with Project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
- Attend and/or lead project meetings.
- Assist and/or complete project closeout.
- Experienced in working on challenging, fast-paced, and diverse projects.
- Assist in the preparation of packages and procurements including evaluations.
Work Experience:
- Working Experience in mechanical / Piping field in the Brownfield / Green Field projects.
- Well-versed in Project Cycle and Engineering Delivery.
- Experience in working on the tie-ins/interfaces.
- Planning/reporting skills
Key Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD and 2D / 3D engineering design
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards in Mechanical Engineering
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
- Project management and supervision skills
- Decision-making ability and leadership skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work to agreed deadlines and timescales.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience working with top-tier companies executing upstream or downstream projects, including at least 7 years working in your main field with an emphasis on initial engineering stages with Project Management.
- PMP certification preferred.
