Senior Commissioning Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the commissioning activities for Instrument and Electrical systems on offshore projects.
  • Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with project teams, including engineering, construction, and operations, to ensure seamless integration and execution of commissioning activities.
  • Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning tests, including functional, performance, and safety testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Instrument and Electrical systems during commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and safety procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive commissioning documentation, including test records, reports, and punch lists.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Liaise with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in commissioning roles, with a focus on Instrumentation and Electrical systems.
  • Extensive offshore experience, particularly in the North Sea, is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, ATEX, DNV).
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a challenging offshore environment on a rotational basis.
  • Valid offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET, OGUK Medical).
