Job Title: HSE Manager

Job Details

Faithful+Gould are currently looking for an experienced HSE Manager to form part of our Project Management Consultant (PMC) project team based on a large mixed use Development in Riyadh. The main objective of the PMC is to implement and manage the overall Development Programme, which includes infrastructure enhancement works, as well as retail mall and hospitality new build and refurbishment elements. The team shall be expected to assist the client in any way possible to ensure the Development is completed to the required timescales and within their stated budgets. The project is expected to last for up to 3 years for Phase 1, with an option for Phase 2 lasting a further 2-3 years also.

"N.B: We are currently pending award on several significant projects. Should we be awarded, this position is key role. Consequently we are keen to speak to individuals in the market place with the experience listed below for such potential future programmes of work".

Requirements
  • Degree qualified: Bachelor Degree or equivalent in a related field;
  • 15 (12 - G11) (8 - G10) years overall experience and preferably have experience similar to this project/role;
  • A minimum of 5 years experience working in USA, Canada or Western European Countries;
  • Previous experience working in Middle East, preferably Saudi Arabia
  • Professional membership;
  • Demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multi functional projects;
  • In-depth knowledge of project controls procedures.
  • A "rounded profile", comfortable with planning, analysis and managing process and commercial considerations. The successful candidate will also be able to mobilise people and teams and drive for a successful delivery.
  • Effective in building good working relationships within complex structures both within projects, with clients and internally.


Responsibilities
  • Preparation and implementation of HSE policies and procedures
  • Carry out audits for ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 and recommend the necessary corrective actions and measures
  • Advise, guide and support managers in the implementation of Health & Safety practices both on site and within the office environment
  • Ensure that appropriate Health and Safety training is delivered
  • Monitor policies and procedures and report any areas where improvement is required
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Analyse accidents and identify trends, vulnerabilities and liabilities that can be avoided by preventive techniques and procedures
