Your role and responsibilities
This dynamic role requires a solid working knowledge of electrical distribution equipment, both electrical and mechanical technical skills, leadership, business acumen and effective communication skills. • Perform electrical testing, preventive maintenance, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, modernization and installation of medium and low voltage electrical power equipment such as circuit breakers, switchgear cabinets, protection and control devices, etc. • Plan and execute work on time and on budget to world-class quality and safety standards. • Communicate with customers to present ABB capabilities and increase service opportunities. Work closely with sales team to maintain, develop and grow customer base.

Qualifications for the role
- Electrical technician/technologist with at least two years' relevant experience.
- Knowledge of basic electrical safety procedures and practices.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical skills.
- Ability to understand written instructions and procedures as well as electrical drawings, and to draft or draw them.
- Well organized.
- Familiar with electrical distribution equipment and test procedures.
- Knowledge of computers and most common software (Office Suite).
- Excellent knowledge of French and English (written and spoken). French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout territory, work overtime, weekends and service calls.
- weekends and to respond to out-of-hours service calls as required.
- Enterprising, self-starter able to move files quickly and take responsibility for results.
- Excellent team player.
- Ability to establish good communication and maintain strong relationships with customers and team members.
- Safety and customer focused, using practical experience and knowledge of electrical distribution systems to help develop and recommend solutions for problems or upgrades to customers' electrical systems.
