WHAT TO EXPECT

Our team is responsible for the managing the kinetic efficiency of our vehicles. We're looking for someone who enjoys drawing conclusions based on simulation, analysis and test data. You'll work alongside other departments to ensure the most efficient solutions are realised, whilst preserving the attribute balance of our vehicles

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Generate Road Loads, using KEM Team Tools, to support engineering and certification gateways and present Road Load status at programme meetings up to and including Chief Engineer level
  • Review and approve PACNS with KEM relevant content
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers (B/C grade) on KEM Tool usage and application and review work products generated by Junior Engineers for correctness and adherence to company processes
  • Actively engage with Test & Development to specify KEM Team requirements for Prototype Vehicles and Test Rig Access
  • Own, develop and communicate, to all stakeholders, plans to ensure road load certification that meet programme timing and act as the point of contact for programme and certification teams on KEM Related Matters
  • Work with the Efficiency Product Owner and programme team to determine optimum balance of component and system efficiency targets that deliver the desired vehicle efficiency whilst meeting other customer wants (Design, Dynamics, cost etc)

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Hold a degree level in a relevant field such as Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent industrial experience
  • Experienced in running simulation tools (e.g. ADAMS, Simulink, GT-Power, Carmaker) and drawing conclusions from the results
  • Good understanding of engineering physics
  • Good planning and programme management skills
  • Experience with MATLAB
