About Job

Works under general supervision to prepare professional services cost estimates and estimates that include professional services in the oil & gas industry. Prepares a specific component of medium to large Engineering Proposal and CAPEX Engineering-Procurement-Construct (EPC) estimates. Often work independently on estimates for small projects to medium projects. Assist in development of department improvement initiatives such as historical data, tool and template development, procedures, etc. Ability to conduct estimate reviews with Executive/Project Management.

About You

• Bachelors degree in engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of estimating experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience preparing estimates related to all Discipline.
• Responsible for preparing estimates and commercial input for proposals and coordinating the activities for the preparation of small and medium-sized service jobs.
• Responsible for preparation of EPC CAPEX cost estimates of Any Class in the different phases of the project (Study, FEED, EPC).
• Able to provide Leadership for CAPEX estimated and project services tendering, acting on multiple tasks.
• Ensures timely reporting to the Estimating Department Manager
• Able to report to Senior management during estimate review meetings
• Exposure to Aspen Capital Cost Estimator (ACCE).
• Experience calculating cash flow analysis for estimates including exposure costs.
• AACE International certification or working knowledge of AACE recommended practices in the areas of Estimating or Project Controls.
• Identify appropriate estimation methods in relation to the scope of work.
• Good understanding of the services and EPC contracts and different pricing typologies.
• Capability to simplify the cost structure and prepare the price by optimizing the cost elements; good understanding of the main contractual scheme elements influencing the price.
• Manage a team of engineers on a day-to-day basis, coordinate interfaces with the Proposal Manager, Project Manager, & Heads of the technical disciplines.
• Present the price sheet and basis of estimates for handover to management, using benchmarks, project data and methods.
• Good attitude and positive interface with other entities and other operating centers.
• Support the Proposal team in clarifying any price quotes, the project team in any clarification/presentation of the estimating process with Client.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented professional.
• Ability to make deadlines and work under time pressure.
• Good analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
• Software skills with MS Office package, especially with Excel spreadsheets and data management.
• Ensures timely reporting to the Head of Estimating Department.
• Able to report to Senior management during estimate review meetings
