Senior Electrical Estimator – Commercial Construction – Hyper-scale Data Centre Projects – Dublin
      
This role represents a great opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to secure their next permanent role. Our client is a well-established commercial construction company based in Dublin.  They have enjoyed continued growth for many years. As a result, this company has an urgent requirement for a Senior Electrical Estimator to join their team on a full-time basis to successfully price and win hyper-scale data centre tenders.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare high-quality estimates based on drawings and specifications
• Manage bill of quantities and prepare accurate pricing documentation
• Secure pricing for elements of the building from both Irish and European subcontractors and suppliers
• Compare and contrast subcontractor’s bids and quotations, and justify reasoning for subcontractor selection
• Maintain and further develop cost data base
• Present estimates to the Estimating Director, and to the Board of Directors, where and when required
• Build relationships with key stakeholders (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, etc)
• Develop and improve estimating procedures to ensure a high standard of quality control
• Co-operate with the application of quality assurance procedures
• Ensure confidentiality is maintained
• Identify any potential risks on a project

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Estimator for a General Contractor
• Knowledge of FIDIC contracts is desirable
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Buildsoft or CostX
