RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform control / instrument system and / or field instrument engineering and designing activities required in projects
- Be able to recommend and supervise for field instrument and cable installation e.g., material take off list, detail field instrument station support, cable tray and tray support, tubing and fitting design
- Be able to recommend and supervise for local control panel, marshaling cabinet and control system cabinet installation, termination and wiring
- Be able to recommend and supervise for simple logic control system e.g., relay base logic or small package PLC unit
- Be able to select explosive protected equipment as per hazardous area classification
- Be able to participate in technical clarification, and technical bid evaluation
- Be able to prepare material take off within project timeline
- Be able to participate and supervise FAT, SAT, pre-commissioning, and the commissioning work of instrument item to comply with the applicable specifications, procedures, codes and standards
- Be able to prepare scope of work for construction
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or related field
- 8-15 years' experience in oil and gas industry. However, experience in petrochemical industry also can be proposed for consideration
- Experience for at least 3 projects in brownfield project and modification work
- Expertise in PID control design, loop diagram, instrument control, PLC, DCS, instrument specification
- Expertise in engineering design for Safety Instrumented System (SIS), Fire and Gas (F&G) system
- Expertise in instrument engineering document and drawing package e.g., conceptual design, detail engineering, instrument index, instrument data sheet, cable schedule, loop diagram, hook up drawing
- Additional experience in construction or commissioning is preferable
- Hard worker, well organized, proactive, high leadership, teamwork attitude and problem solving in a timely manner
- Flexible approach and able to work under pressure with a can - do attitude and a desire to win
- Possess good interpersonal skills with excellent English communication skills
