We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated mid-level Reliability and Maintenance Electrical Engineer to join our team at a Tier 1 mining company in Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and maintainability of fixed plant equipment.
This role involves developing maintenance strategies, performing reliability analysis, and implementing best practices to maximize the uptime and efficiency of our electrical infrastructure. Relocation to Bunbury, Western Australia, is required.
 
Your role:
  • Develop and implement reliability and maintenance programs for electrical systems and equipment.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on electrical failures and provide corrective action recommendations.
  • Conduct reliability analysis and predictive maintenance (PdM) on electrical systems using tools like FMEA, RCM, and MTBF.
  • Develop and optimize preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and procedures for electrical equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to identify and address reliability issues.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to electrical reliability and maintenance.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to maintenance and operations personnel.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including maintenance records, schematics, and technical reports.
 
About you:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in reliability and maintenance engineering, preferably in mining or heavy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency in reliability analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, RCM).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
