On behalf of a major oil and gas operator in USA, I am looking for a Wellsite Geologist for offshore wells in Texas.
The wells will be drilled in shallow waters using a jack up drilling rig.

Role:

• WSG will be responsible for supervising the geological operations at the rig site (Mudlogging, LWD, Whole Coring, Wireline Logging and Positioning), and he/she will also ensure the data transmission through the Real Time data transmission from the rig site to town.
• Witness calibrations, inspection of the rig up of service companies (Mudlogging, LWD, Coring and Wireline Logging) and ensure the presence of service Companies’ backup tools and spare components.
• Supervision of “Formation Evaluation” contractors (Mudlogging Geologists, LWD Logging Engineers, Wireline Logging Engineers, Coring): Keep tracking of POB and their shifts.
• Follow-up of current operations, report failures and incidents at the rig site (related to Geology or not) and keep the Operations Geologist on duty informed.
