What are you going to do

Responsibilities

Safety

  • Drives and influences proactive safety behaviours within workgroups through visible leadership
  • Ensures all personnel, visitors and contractors comply with site and contractual HSE requirements and hold people accountable for adherence
  • Plans Delivers technical documentation that ensures maintenance jobs can be conducted safely; and considers environmental conditions, nearby activities, and the people and other resources needed to complete the work


People

  • Works constructively within a diverse group of people
  • Delivers consistently on commitments and takes accountability for own development
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills


Deliverables

  • Scope, create, review, refine and develop effective documents/PRTs for all existing and new tactics developed, which will improve the safety and efficiency in executing the planned maintenance activities
  • Develop detailed work instructions ensuing that task details, resources and process steps are accurate
  • Ensure all documentation developed accommodates all requirements of the maintenance activity by engaging with Reliability Engineers, area maintenance and ops personnel to ascertain requirements
  • Utilise CDMS systems in developing the new documents
  • Provide technical input as your skill set develops in the areas of maintenance activities, including planning, scheduling, execution
  • Working as a team member, sharing knowledge, and supporting your work colleagues is integral to this role
  • Develop good commination skills and be actively engaged in your work environment


Continuous Improvement

  • Continue to look for areas of improvement and enhancement in the overall document development, review, and tracking process


Change Management

  • Ensures that all documents comply with all Safety/Environmental standards and Business Policies


Sustainability

  • Ensure all changes are well documented and permanently stored
  • Ensure all compliance to all relevant Newmont processes and procedures


Essential skills and knowledge

  • Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance or similar essential
  • Mining or similar heavy engineering/construction experience
  • Post trade/tertiary qualifications in maintenance management
  • CDMS/SAP knowledge and training
  • Job scoping/ shutdown maintenance execution
  • Maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of safety programs and procedures
  • Experience in interfacing project teams, including staff and contractors
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential roadblocks and develop strategies to mitigate risks and keep projects on track
  • Self-managed, motivated, and committed to working in a fast-paced environment
