Required skills and experience:

• Previous hands-on experience with Ion Chromatography
• Chemistry degree or equivalent level of training/experience
• Broad range of knowledge of various liquid chromatography techniques including Ion chromatography.
• Good initiative, problem-solving ability, and a sense of ownership when driving projects to completion

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Key activities:

• Doing one-off methods with little precedent (including designing QC checks)
• Carrying method validation programs in collaboration with development chemists.
• Maintaining up-to-date test methods
• Critical evaluation of methodology, QC's, standards and results, especially judging fitness for purpose
• Identifying where differences between samples might be important (i.e. test matrices)
• Looking at the current practices to see where there are gaps and/or how they could be improved
• Communicate effectively and follow detailed written and verbal instruction
• Accurately document and report all analytical activities and results, maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
