Materials Application Engineer (MAE) Lead Engineer will be supporting supplier qualifications, resolving manufacturing and field issues. In this role you will utilize your knowledge to plan tests, analize data and solve materials related problems. You will be a part of the MAE team and you will be cooperating with other departments across the company.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for engine parts supplier qualification
  • Provide technical consultation on material and manufacturing process related topics
  • Support GE internal and external customers, and suppliers as required
  • Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Provide timely communications on significant issues
  • Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through the analysis, preparation and presentation of technical data to internal and external customers using reports, records, and letters


Qualifications:
  • BSc or MSc in Materials Engineering or related faculty
  • Solid knowledge about metallic materials and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to work in interdisciplinary team
  • Good level of English
  • Strong communication skills


Desired characteristic:
  • Manufacturing experience related to special processes such as: heat treatment, welding, brazing, coatings, electrochemical processes
