The DevOps & Platform Engineering department is anchored in Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO). This is where new product ideas and technologies are developed, matured, tested, and improved. Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the Test Lab Engineer are to continuously keep the test environments running and updated. This includes participating in troubleshooting of the delivery pipeline and possible fixing of issues related to the test environment, both base software (e.g., OS, SQL Server, etc.), as well as hardware (replacement of defect/obsoleted switches, discs, etc.).
It is the responsibility of the Test Lab Engineer to:
  • Maintain test environments in terms of HW and SW
  • Version and baseline test environments to ensure transparency in the tests conducted
  • Design and implement test environments used for software testing, including software and tool stack, hardware, and infrastructure


This requires a close collaboration with our stakeholders:
  • Dev-teams who deliver software components for testing
  • Integrator/DevOps Engineers who integrate SW changes into our system
  • Release management and Test management who promote effective SW changes to the next stage in the SDLC
  • QA team


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field
  • 1-3 of experience working as a Test Engineer, Automation engineer or similar
  • Understanding of continuous integration solutions (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Atlassian suite)
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Programming skills including automation systems and databases are valued
