The Role The Discipline/System Completion Lead will support the SC team with the development of Systems Completion deliverables and execution during integration and commissioning. Key responsibilities include technical team leadership, planning, and coordination of work within a simultaneous operations environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities:
  • Assist the Commissioning Manager in planning, development, and reporting
  • Develop and review detailed commissioning and start-up procedures for assigned mechanical systems
  • Write and revise function test procedures
  • Review spares (SPIR forms)
  • Conduct tag quality review
  • Perform TTM-specific verifications
  • Prepare package check sheets
  • Coordinate activities with other departments and staff
  • Establish positive working relationships with immediate supervision and personnel from other departments
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Follow oral and written instructions


QUALIFICATIONS

Expected:
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience, with at least 5 years' on-site commissioning experience
  • BSc in Engineering (required) in specific discipline
  • O&G Commissioning and Start-Up/SC Experience (5+ years)
  • Offshore GOM or International Project Experience in an Engineering Lead Role
  • Expertise in reading and interpreting P&ID's, Piping Isometrics, and Production Flow Diagrams
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems including gas compression and rotating equipment, process flow equipment, gas and oil pipeline systems
  • Experience with operations and maintenance of production facilities
  • Skills in leak testing (HeN), lube oil flushing, and chemical flushing of production systems
  • Proficiency in report writing and records maintenance
  • Familiarity with Permit to Work System
  • Project management skills including cost, time, and scope
  • Awareness of occupational hazards, standard safety procedures, and safe work practices

E&I:
  • Knowledge of instrument/electrical theory, work methods, tools, and testing equipment used in commissioning of Oil/Gas Facilities
  • Experience with electronic transmitters, valve positioners, DC power systems, analog and discrete signals, and pneumatic systems
  • Proficiency in Hart Protocol and control logic schemes
  • Experience with various PLC, DCS, and Fire & Gas control systems
  • Familiarity with process automation
  • Report writing and records maintenance skills
  • Familiarity with Permit to Work System
  • Understanding of cause and effect logic relationships of equipment
  • Ability to manage instrument techs in the coordination of work
  • Awareness of occupational hazards and standard safety procedures
