Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Generator Technician to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to install, maintain, and repair diesel and gas-powered generators for our clients. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of generator systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install new generator systems at client locations according to manufacturer specifications and local codes.

- Conduct routine maintenance on generators, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections to ensure optimal performance.

- Diagnose and repair generator components such as engines, alternators, voltage regulators, and control panels.

- Perform load bank testing and other diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve issues proactively.

- Respond promptly to client service calls and troubleshoot generator malfunctions onsite.

- Document all service and maintenance activities, including parts used, labor hours, and repairs performed.

- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with generator systems to maintain a safe work environment.

- Provide technical support and guidance to clients on generator operation and maintenance best practices.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues.

- Ability to or willingness to learn to read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and diagrams.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in demanding situations.

- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach to service delivery.

- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varying weather conditions and environments.
