EngineeringThe successful candidate will work on Environmental Control Systems / Life Support Systems / Components for aircraft and ground applications. The SM&A Engineer will undertake tasks demanding technical expertise involving co-operation with other departments. Responsibilities include building steady state and dynamic models of Environmental Control Systems; perform and analyse system performance simulations, provide analytical input to the design process and conduct the analysis and interpretation of test results.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Responsibilities
• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Working knowledge of thermodynamic, fluid flow and control theory is required.
• Knowledge of Aircraft pneumatic systems and components is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Aerospace industry guidelines, specifications and practices is beneficial.
• Experience of analytical tools, including Matlab/Simulink, CFD, Simcenter or similar would be beneficial.
The successful candidate should be able to effectively demonstrate:-
• Ability to communicate effectively using written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications.
• Ability to carry out theoretical engineering.
• Ability to resolve problems using scientific methods.
• May interact with external customers to facilitate and support the completion of modelled analysis.
• Act as a mentor to less experienced analysis engineers.
• Present project work status to leadership.
• Assess & analyse data to enable effective compliance to the customer and design needs.
• Propose technical improvements using engineering knowledge, principles and experience.
This position is subject to meeting the eligibility conditions of export control licenses and technical assistant agreements.
