DUAL REPORT

Job Purpose

Act as the subject matter expert to deliver the design, the planning and the support of integrating Weatherford's well construction technologies and drilling solutions, and the post-drilling analysis within complex wells on a global basis. Provide global technical support and training to deliver the safest and most efficient plans to drill a well meeting all expectations.

Roles & Responsibilities

QUALITY

• Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford's Management System

• Know and understand Weatherford's Operational Excellence & Performance System (OEPS) and the Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions

• Maintain service quality as an immediate priority when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement

OPERATIONS

• Responsible for global Drilling Engineering technical support

• Develop and implement Well Engineering solutions for projects working with the Geozones prospect teams to realize ideas and plans thru the Well Engineering and Project Management process

• Provide real-time decision support to the drilling team to maximize drilling efficiency and minimize risk while achieving the well objective

• Assist the Drilling and Evaluation team in post-well root-cause analysis

• Develop and implement fully embed performance enabling methods such as Drilling the Limit, best practices, peer reviews and technology applications in the design, execution, and evaluation of Weatherford's well solutions

• Take a lead role in ensuring the global key wells are delivered on time and within budget meeting all success measures

• Keep up to date and review new technology for possible application to projects.

• Perform directional well planning, torque-and-drag analysis, hydraulics calculations, and BHA analysis on all well types including new application and complex wells in order to design effective methods to deploy drilling & completion services to ensure trouble-free installations

• Perform and coach others with offset well analysis, hazard identification, risk control, as well as casing and tubing design

• Participates in tender responses

• Promote technical excellence image of the Company and Segment (publish papers, attend/present at public forums, and otherwise gain recognition for the Segment products and services)

• Post-pre and post-well meetings with clients, as required

• Assist in the presentation of recommendations and evaluations to clients, as required

• Provide detailed analytical reports to management

• Assist Geozones with high-level technical support for clients

• Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level

• Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor within the physical constraints of the job

COMMUNICATION

• Coach Geozones Drilling Engineering teams with documenting and communicating learnings, best practices, and technical alerts from projects through Weatherford's Performance Tracking System (WPTS)

• Maintain effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external

FINANCIAL

• All employees have an accountability to the organization to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses

• Costs incurred should be within the approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure

PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT

• Lead and coach others in the development and review of well programs, operating procedures, presentations, end-of-well reports and other documentation as required to support effective communication and Continuous Improvement

• Assist on technical training content for Drilling Engineering training courses

• Assist on technical competency content for the Drilling Engineering community

• Employees have a responsibility for developing their own careers within the Company including completing all necessary function, compliance & business standards training to enhance their knowledge, skills and experience

• Employees should engage on a regular basis with their line manager to discuss their personal performance, objectives and opportunities to enhance their skills and experience to support their career potential

Experience & Education

REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited University

• 10+ years of relevant Drilling Engineering experience

• Experience with working across Product Line (PL) boundaries to visualize, engineer and deliver cross-PL drilling hazard-mitigating solutions

• Thorough understanding of 3 or more Weatherford PLs

PREFERRED

• Experience in operations management

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

REQUIRED

• Ability and willingness to learn through a structured development program which includes internal and external courses, external certifications and practical on-the-job training (both office and field)

• Ability to analyze a wide variety of data sets and use them in providing Drilling Engineering solutions

• Practical and results-oriented to deliver a plan encompassing all inputs that can be safely executed. Mechanical aptitude and strong visualization capability required

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Highly motivated with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work with different groups and understand how their different inputs can help in providing a comprehensive and composite solution to the client.

• Ability to get away from the traditional approach of applying specialty products (widgets) to wells and apply and encourage a solution-based approach which involves understanding the client's needs and well problems and then investigating potential solutions that can be changed in well design, change in procedure or potentially the use of one or more common or specialty products.

• Detailed understanding of drilling practices and procedures (planning, risk analysis, pre-spud, roles of various asset team members, equipment, drilling program, cementing, evaluation, completion, reporting, wellsite personnel, drilling parameters, fluids, well control, directional drilling, wellsite services, local regulatory, etc.)

• Must be perceived as a leader/mentor and respected by industry peers.

• Must be willing to travel to remote land and offshore work locations and possibly to other countries.

Travel Requirement: This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to: 25-50%
