Overview:

The Senior Engineer - Piping & Layout will be responsible for overseeing the layout and design of piping systems for Offshore Oil & Gas Fixed Platform projects for Qatar Energy.

This role focuses on ensuring optimal piping layouts that enhance maintainability, operational efficiency, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop piping layouts and routing plans for offshore fixed platforms, considering maintainability, accessibility, and safety requirements.
• Conduct 3D model reviews and resolve interdisciplinary comments to ensure clash-free designs and seamless integration with other disciplines.
• Collaborate with piping stress engineers, process engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize piping designs and layouts.
• Perform technical reviews and checks of piping deliverables to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize Navisworks and other design tools to review and validate piping models and layouts.
• Prepare and update piping layout drawings, isometrics, and piping support details as per project requirements.
• Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to support the implementation of piping designs and resolve design-related issues during construction phases.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to support the development of piping design modifications and as-built documentation.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and designers in piping layout activities.

Education:

• Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Civil, or relevant discipline).

Certifications / Specialization / IT Skills:

• Proficiency in Navisworks, Microsoft Excel, and Word is required.
• Working knowledge of 3D modeling review tools and interdisciplinary coordination.

Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in piping layout and design, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.

Technical Knowledge:

1. Demonstrated experience in piping layout and design for Offshore Oil & Gas Fixed Platform projects, with a minimum of 8 years in this field.
2. Proficiency in conducting 3D model reviews, resolving comments, and coordinating with multiple disciplines to achieve optimized piping designs.
3. Preferred experience with Gulf clients such as Qatar Energy, Saudi Aramco, or ADNOC, and familiarity with their project requirements and standards.
